Fundraising and supporter engagement manager


Debby first joined Global Justice Now in 2011 as a campaigns and policy intern before going on to join the fundraising team as supporter services officer and later becoming our fundraising and supporter engagement manager. She graduated from the University of Sussex in 2005 with a degree in Social Anthropology with Development Studies before working for a number of teams at Brighton and Hove city council, including working with young asylum seekers and in Sure Start centres. She has also spent time living in France pursuing her interest in languages.

What a year for our trade campaign!

This time 12 months ago, trade ministers were jetting round the globe racing to set up secretive trade talks with almost any country that would talk to them. The desperation was palapable as trade sectretary Liam Fox talked of “shared values” with the Philippines’ murderous dictator Rodrigo Duterte, and Theresa May refused to take the NHS of the table in talks with the US.

In 2013 we asked WDM supporters to share their views with us through our third supporter survey. We did this for one very simple reason: you, our supporters make our campaigns. Therefore by getting to know you better and listening to what you say we can take action to improve and adapt what we do and thereby make our campaigns even more effective.
