The UK trade bill is back at Westminster. It’s been in the deep freeze for a time, while the Tory tussle over the EU customs union was being resolved, but in July it will be back taking centre stage.  So we have work to do convincing MPs and MSPs that embedding trade democracy in this bill is essential to keep out chlorinated chickens and privatised healthcare.

A CETA vote also took place last week in the House of Commons – the International Trade Secretary deciding, uncharacteristically, that he could risk a little democracy when he was confident of the outcome! Read on to find out how the Scottish parliament is tackling the trade bill, learn about our plans for demonstrating against Trump in July and discover how you can get hold of some chicken costumes for an ad hoc trade protest.
