Banners are a fantastic way of getting a message across. They give you two opportunities to reach your audience – in the moment and through media.

Banners are large and visible from long distances. If you hang them in a busy and visible place you’ll reach many people. And if you get a great photo you can dramatically increase the number of people who see your banner by sharing the photo online or with news outlets.

If you’ve never made a banner before, don’t worry, it’s a fairly simple task, and can be a lot of fun! Especially if you gather some friends and do it as a group. In case you need a bit of help to get you started, we’ve gathered together some tips and advice here.
