Covid-19 vaccines are crucial to help end this pandemic. But as wealthy countries roll out vaccine programmes, countries in the global south are left with little or none. Even though billions of pounds of public funding has paid for research, development and manufacturing, the vaccines that have been approved in the UK are the privately-owned assets of a profit-driven industry that has sold most of its stock to the highest bidders.

We need to push Big Pharma to lift patents and share their knowledge to ensure Covid-19 vaccines reach everyone, everywhere. We need a People’s Vaccine.

This supporter briefing explains explains where we’re at with access to Covid-19 vaccines, and the demands we’re making to ensure vaccine justice for the global south.
