Salary: £34,582pa  (pro-rata for part-time)

Global Justice Now is a democratic social justice organisation working, as part of a global movement, to challenge the powerful and create a more just and equal world. We mobilise people in the UK for change, and act in solidarity with those fighting injustice, particularly those in the global south.

We are looking for someone with substantial experience of developing policy and running campaigns to join our team.

The policy and campaigns manager is a wide ranging role. You will be responsible for developing policy positions and campaign planning, undertaking and overseeing research and maintaining relations with allies both here and overseas. You will be expected to undertake media interviews, write comment pieces, talk to journalists and local groups and activists.

From the outset you will expected to be the organisation’s lead expert on aid and related issues, but you will also have a broad range of policy skills and experience, and have some familiarity with Global Justice Now’s broader goals and areas of interest, able to work on other areas of Global Justice Now’s work.

If this sounds right for you, we’d really like to hear from you.

We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnicity, but as members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented we would like to encourage applications from black and ethnic minority candidates. Appointment will be based on merit alone.

This post is available for full or part-time working (at least four days / 28 hours a week.) We offer 26 days holiday a year (pro-rata for part-time) and flexible working.

Deadline for applications:            10am, Monday 3 June 2019
Interviews:                                     Thursday 6 June 2019

See below for the job description and person specification, application and recruitment monitoring forms.

To apply, please send your completed application form and a completed recruitment monitoring form to: ourjobs@globaljustice.org.uk. No agencies please – only personal applications will be considered.

Interviews will be held at our offices in Kennington near Oval, London, on Thursday 6 June. If you are interested in this role, please ensure that you are available on the day.

Please note: Due to the large number of applications we receive for each vacancy, we can only contact applicants whom we have chosen to interview.

We can only consider applications from people who already have the right to work in the UK.
