No profiteering from Covid-19 vaccines

We need effective vaccines and treatments to help us end this pandemic. But the global pharmaceutical industry is perpetuating a system where wealth will determine if you live or die.

They are selling vaccines to the highest bidders. For example, over 80% of Pfizer’s vaccine has already been sold to the rich countries that represent just 14% of the global population.

Successful vaccines must be distributed according to health need, not by who has the most money. Companies should share effective vaccines through the World Health Organisation to help produce enough for everyone, everywhere, not putting the pursuit of profit ahead of human lives.
