Commenting on Just Stop Oil’s spray-painting of private jets, Izzie McIntosh, climate campaigner at Global Justice Now said:

Taylor Swift sang about a ‘cruel summer’ but unless the next government works with countries around the world to end the fossil fuel era for good, our planet is going to continue facing the cruellest and most devastating impacts of climate breakdown in every season. If we want to end the fossil fuel era in a fast, fair and funded way, we need a global exit plan – and that’s where the Fossil Fuel Treaty comes in. The next government needs to back calls for the treaty to avert further climate breakdown.”
