Can songs about sustainability make a sustainable difference?

As an educator, campaigner and musician I wanted to get the word out about green issues, but not with angry songs, but rather songs that people could enjoy singing and be entertained by. So I started doing concerts at community events and in schools, then we made our album and now we are launching it. I must confess that I had my doubts as to whether it would be possible to book a concert tour by offering songs about fossil fuels and eating less meat, but it appears that people want it as we have 13 show bookings… We would love it if you came along.

Jess Gold’s Animated Earth Concert Tour is touring around England from 26 August – 13 October offering live music and cartooning in an interesting variety of venues.

We will be launching my new album “Project Earth Rock”, unashamedly eco-focused songs created with the specific intention of making people feel good. We hope to seduce our audiences into singing our catchy songs.  During the show cartoonist Danny Fenster will bring to life audience offerings in the creation of unique satirical cartoons. Selected shows will also feature Luke Concannon, chart-topping songwriter of JCB song/Nizlopi fame, who will be playing music from his hot-off-the-press new solo album. His signature style of exuberant and soulful hip hop folk will delight old friends and new.

The concerts, hosted by local community and environmental groups, take in a variety of venues including churches, theatres, pavilions, cathedrals and even a prison(!). Concerts will showcase and celebrate local host groups’ environmental campaigns.

Tickets are available now, book online.

We hope see you on the tour!
