About us

Global Justice York campaigns in and around York on Global Justice Now’s national campaigns, as well as being active as part of progressive movements in North Yorkshire, especially on international issues. For example, our members take part in the actions of York Palestine Assembly, calling for:

•  An immediate ceasefire
• An end to the Gaza genocide
• An end to the issuing of all arms licences to Israel
• The establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

We have campaigned locally and regionally to:

• End the inclusion of secretive corporate courts (ISDS) in trade agreements
• Make Polluters Pay for Loss and Damage caused by climate change
• End the use of patents that control access to vaccines.

And we take part in York Environment Week(s), for example a webinar on the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
