Global Justice Scottish Borders

Global Justice Scottish Borders is a local group member of Global Justice Now.

Global Justice Now is an international social justice organisation working as part of a global movement challenging the inequality of our current economic system that is failing so many people. Our campaigns challenge the powerful and act in solidarity with those fighting injustice, particularly in the global south, for a more just and equal world.

What we do

Global Justice Scottish Borders are a new local group who are currently meeting monthly in Peebles to talk about and plan action we can take locally to support Global Justice Now’s campaigns. This is likely to include lobbying politicians, holding stalls and public events to inform people locally, and joining local and national demonstrations on issues that we care about.

The Scottish Borders is obviously a huge area, and it might not be possible for you to get to meetings, but we would like to include as many people as possible as members of the group. In the future we might meet in other towns, and if you can’t make it to meetings we can keep you in the loop by sending out meeting reports and information about any actions planned in our region.
