Debate radical politics, get creative and party. Join artists, activists and writers to change the way you see the world and discuss how we can take it back from the 1%.

Advance ticket sales are now closed. A limited number of tickets will be available on the gate on Friday and Saturday morning.

Highlights

  • Radical journalist Paul Mason and Molly Scott Cato MEP discuss the future of capitalism – and what system may come after. 

  • The critically acclaimed Lampedusa, a powerful new play on the realities of the migration crisis. “Brave, bold and moving” (The Guardian); “One of the most gently enticing pieces of storytelling you will see” (The Times). Its award winning playwright Anders Lustgarten will also lead a discussion on the relationship between politics and theatre.

  • Live music with renowned Afro-beat band Matuki, live looper Xana and acoustic sets with Ije Amaechi; DJs Latifah Stone and Jeremy Gilbert (of cult club night Beauty and the Beat); award-winning spoken word with Shareefa Energy and Rohan Ayinde.  

  • Activists from leading radical organisations and movements from across the world will be discussing ideas and strategies to challenge power. Join Ana Terriente Felix from Barcelona en Comu, Cat Boyd from Radical Independence Campaign, Marina Prentoulis from Syriza UK, Dorothy Guerrero from Focus on the Global South, Amina Gichinga from Take Back the City and many more.

  • Practical workshops on how to reclaim public space through Brandalism and subvertising, skills for direct action, songs of resistance, and theatre for rebellion. 

  • Film screenings of Naomi Klein’s This Changes Everything, Paul Mason’s #ThisIsACoup and other radical films.

New: special group offer for young people! 

We are also releasing a special offer (as if the tickets aren’t cheap enough) for young people. Groups of 4 or more people aged 16-25 can get a ticket for just £25 per person, including travel and camping!

Transport

We have subsidised coaches coming from Manchester, London and Bristol. Make sure to select the +travel option when you buy a ticket.

Manchester

Those coming from Manchester should meet at 10.00am at Manchester Victoria Station car park, Long Millgate, M3 1NX. On the way down to the festival, we’ll be going via Bristol to pick up our friends from there.

Bristol

Those coming from Bristol should meet in the car park of Bristol Parkway station. The coach will be traveling down from Manchester and is set to pass through Bristol at 2.30pm (traffic permitting).   Make sure to send us your mobile number so we can call to update you if we’re running late.

London

Those coming from London should meet at 10.00am outside the Hammersmith Apollo, 45 Queen Caroline St, London W6 9QH. 

Unfortunately we cannot take pets on the coaches.  

Venue and accommodation

Take Back Our world festival is at Tapeley Park, Instow, Devon, EX39 4NT.

The festival will be a child friendly space, and under 16s get in free. There’s a play area and fun outdoor areas to explore and run around in. Dogs are also welcome so long as they are kept on leads. 

Tasty and affordable food will be available at the festival, catering for vegetarians and vegans too. 

Most people coming to the festival will be camping, but if that doesn’t suit you there are plenty of local B&Bs in Northam, a short drive from the festival.
