WORKSHOP: UK trade deals: Fighting the corporate power grab
Modern trade deals are a corporate power grab, with disastrous consequences for our environment, public services, worker’s rights and our democracy as a whole. A post-Brexit trade deal with the US could see chlorinated chicken on our plates and US corporations running our NHS. And then there’s the secretive, unaccountable ‘investor’ courts which allow corporations special privileges to sue governments for making decisions which could harm their profits. Yet the corporate trade agenda is increasingly in disarray – we have the opportunity to push for a trade system which puts people before profit. Find out how in this workshop.
Exact time and room to be announced.
