Stop Arming Israel: How do we end UK complicity?

Israel’s onslaught on Gaza has been going on for over eight months. Despite this, the UK has approved an estimated 100 new arms licences since the start of the war – including components for F-35 fighter jets which are currently being used to bombard civilians in Gaza.
Join Global Justice Now for an online speaker event discussing the background to the UK’s arms trade with Israel and how we can pressure the new government to end the UK’s collusion in the Gaza genocide.
Speakers for the event include :
- Yasmin Ashraf, an organiser with the Palestinian Youth Movement, a grassroots movement of young Palestinians dedicated to the liberation of the their land and people.
- Nick Dearden, the director of Global Justice Now and a longstanding campaigner for justice for Palestinians.
- Jeff Halper, an Israeli peace activist who writes on how high-tech military equipment, designed and first deployed in Israel, is exported around the globe.
- Blanca Suarez, an activist with Workers for a Free Palestine, which organises mass actions against UK arms manufacturers exporting to Israel.
- Jonathan Purcell, senior public affairs officer at the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians, which is holding the UK government to account over its arms export licencing to Israel.
The panel will be followed by a Q/A with the audience.
