Scottish day of action on dodgy trade deals

Scottish day of action on dodgy trade deals

Apr23

When: April 23, 2016

The Scotland Against TTIP coalition is holding a day of action on Saturday April 23 to raise awareness of the very real threat to democracy that TTIP and CETA pose.

In Glasgow we’re planning a stall at Buchanan St steps from 12 noon with materials, petitions and activity to encourage people to join the fight back against dodgy trade deals.  All welcome – just turn up on the day!

There are also stalls and activities planned in Ayr, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and other towns across Scotland.

We’ve timed the day of action with the upcoming Holyrood elections, as this is a unique chance to ask candidates where they stand on trade deals like CETA and TTIP. By arming the public with the facts and our new MSP candidates’ pledge on TTIP and CETA, they’ll be able to find out whose side their prospective MSPs are on: power to the people, or power to corporations?
