With:

Donna Riddington – Artist and campaigner, currently involved in supporting the creative efforts of Catwalk4Power women and peers with HIV as well as coronavirus vaccine equity stunts and demos.

Donna will talk about some of the creative, direct actions she’s been involved in, with groups like Act Up London, LGSMigrants, and the #FreeTheVaccine campaign. These actions will show how we can think creatively when planning local campaigns.

Alena Ivanova – Global Justice Now pharma campaigner will talk about the campaign for a People’s Vaccine and how this year must be the year to win vaccine equality for the global south.

Daniel Willis  – Global Justice Now climate and debt campaigner will talk about how we urge the big banks and the UK government to drop Zambia’s debt, including a possible day of action against BlackRock in April.

More about the event

This online campaigner gathering is a chance to meet up with global justice campaigners in Scotland to  learn, share ideas, and plan action for 2022.

We will…

  • Hear the latest on our campaigns and plans for 2022 from Global Justice Now campaigners Alena Ivanova and Daniel Willis
  • Plan action we can take together in Scotland to win our international campaigns for social justice over the coming year
  • Be inspired by Donna Riddington’s stories of creative and artistic direct action
  • Think more about how to be creative in our own campaigning, especially with the challenges the pandemic keeps throwing at us
  • Plus: time to meet and chat with other campaigners, find out about our local groups and what they’ve been up to, and regional break out groups to meet people in your area.
