Protest action: Fair pay for health workers, not pharma profits

Protest action: Fair pay for health workers, not pharma profits

What: Protest outside the pharma lobby, 155 Bishopsgate, London

The pharmaceutical industry is demanding even more profits from the NHS.

Even on the back of a year of record profits, these companies are calling for a tax cut that could cost the NHS billions. Pharma already gets a far better deal than it deserves because much of the research it uses comes from publicly funded universities or small biotech companies. And at a time when NHS staff are fighting for fair pay, we must resist pharma’s attempts to squeeze even more profit out of the NHS.

Instead of lining the pockets of pharma shareholders, this money could be used to fund better pay and hire for every single nursing vacancy in the UK.

Pharma lobbyists are having their annual corporate knees up on 27 April.

We’ll be outside to make some noise and say no to pharma profiteering and yes to fair pay for NHS staff!

Come make some noise with us!

We demand:

Public health, not private wealth.

No more fleecing the NHS.

Money for nurses, not pharma CEOs.
