State-led industrial strategy is set to play a growing role to meet the crises of the 21st century, with Labour already planning a large programme of investment through its Green Prosperity Plan. This event will discuss how market-shaping approaches will be essential for acting on the climate – and why Labour shouldn’t stop there. Highly financialised monopolies are hampering the green transition, preventing the production of vital medicines we need and allowing rapidly rising food prices to fuel the cost of living crisis. If we get it right, an industrial strategy can help transform the way our economy works, and build a fairer world.
Event open to the public – all welcome. Food and drinks and will be provided.
