Hugh Price Hughes Lecture – Think globally, act locally

This event is organised by the Hinde Street Methodist Church. As part of their 2016 Hugh Price Hughes lectures, Global Justice Now’s Polly Jones will discuss “Think globally, act locally”. This is how they describe the event:

“With so much poverty, inequality and injustice on our doorstep, should we also be trying to address these issues around the world?

Polly will explain why we cannot tackle problems in the UK without addressing global issues and will share some examples of where action in the UK has made a difference in the global south. She will also explore some of the current big international challenges and look at how we build strong and effective movements which span north and south and enable us to bring about change.”
