Workshop at the Spark 2015. Join Fuel Poverty Aaction and Global Justice Now for an interactive workshop at this year’s Spark Space 2015 exploring what an energy future that we control could look like.

In the UK millions of people struggle to keep warm and well every winter whilst private energy companies makes billions of pounds of profit; globally, fossil-fueled companies are responsible for countless attacks on communities and for hundreds of thousands of deaths caused by climate change every year. But what if we controlled our energy supply? What if we got to keep the profits and make the decisions about energy? What if energy supported and empowered communities and was good for our health? Join this workshop to imagine an energy system beyond fuel poverty and climate chaos. Together, we will explore local energy co-ops, community resistance, taking over Town Halls.
