Edinburgh Students Against TTIP

Edinburgh Students Against TTIP

Mar16

When: March 16, 2016

Come along to this workshop to learn, discuss and debate how to make Edinburgh University a TTIP-free zone.

Across the UK, students are getting together to campaign against the new wave of mega trade deals, including TTIP, which are set to hand power to big business on a scale not seen before.  These trade deals are changing the rules of global governance and threatening the ability of democratically elected governments to take decisions in the public interest.  They threaten public services (including higher and further education),  hard-won regulations to protect the environment, human rights, public health and workers – and they threaten democracy itself.

But opposition is growing.

Join the movement – get active for change.

When: 2.30 – 4pm, Wednesday March 16

Where: Room 2, Chrystal MacMillan Building, University of Edinburgh, 15a George Square, Edinburgh EH8 9LD
