Annual General Meeting 2020
Saturday 5 September, at 11am
The official venue for the meeting will be our London offices at 66 Offley Road, London SW9 0LS. However, Global Justice Now’s council has decided to ask all members to join virtually this year using the video-conferencing programme Zoom. Zoom meetings are primarily accessed via a computer, smartphone or tablet, but it is also possible to join using a conventional phone, albeit without the same functionality.
In order to join, you needed to have registered in advance, by 2 September.
The deadline for appointing a proxy to vote on your behalf has also now passed.
Resolutions
This year there are several resolutions from council (see agenda below). The wording and rationale for these can be found in the resolutions document, which you can download from the bottom of this page. Emergency resolutions can be submitted up until 48 hours before the event, but must relate to events taking place after the deadline for ordinary resolutions (17 July).

AGM agenda
1. Director’s report on the organisation’s activities over the preceding year.
2. Adoption of the minutes of the 2019 AGM and matters arising.
3. Resolutions (see full details in this document):
a. To ratify the decisions of council to co-opt three new members.
b. To approve increases in membership rates
c. To amend the Rules of Global Justice Now to change the method of election of members to council.
d. Special Resolution: To reduce the minimum number of council members from 10 to 9
4. Treasurer’s report.
5. Adoption of annual report and accounts.
6. Appointment of auditors.
