Campaign organiser, Stop Trump Coalition
Hosted at Global Justice Now
Temporary 3 month contract with the possibility of 3 months’ extension
Salary: £33,100 (pro rata) + pension contribution
Time: 4 or 5 days a week
We are looking for a campaign organiser who will play a crucial role in the work of the coalition - from supporting the organising groups to make strategic decisions on direction to organising participatory events for hundreds of people. The postholder will oversee the campaign, including organising events, planning actions, liaising with organisers around the country and developing our messaging. They will drive forward decisions so we’re able to get press statements ‘out of the door’ while ensuring all participants are kept fully involved in decision-making.
Work will be largely in office hours, but the postholder will regularly be required to attend evening meetings and events for which time off in lieu will be granted.
We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnicity, but as members of ethnic minority groups are currently under-represented we would like to encourage applications from black and ethnic minority candidates. Appointment will be based on merit alone.
See below for the job description and person specification, application and recruitment monitoring forms.
To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining how you meet each point of the person specification. Please also send a completed recruitment monitoring form to: firstname.lastname@example.org No agencies please – only personal applications will be considered.
Deadline for applications: 5pm, Wednesday 1 March 2017
Interviews: Monday 6 March 2017
Start date: as soon as possible
